The June meeting is open for a field trip. The near by Platte River Park was suggested. Other ideas are welcome. Final decision will be made at the May meeting.
Dave has information on an April 22 and 23 week-end trip to the Great Sand Dunes National Monument in the San Luis Valley.
Speaker John Yamamoto now working at Englewood Camera as manager of repairs brought us a program. In the past he has worked as a pro in sports, advertising and movie production photography. These jobs have taken him to CA, LA, TX, NY and Las Vegas. His slides showed more people than landscapes and more attractive young ladies than characters. Concerts are a favorite subject and included shots of Tanya Tucker, Linda Ronstad, Bob Hope and George Burns to name a few. He favors the sports of tennis and ice skating for stopping the action at its peak and his favorite landscapes were in Nevada.
He still takes 3 to 4 professional shoots a year and likes the diversity photography offers. His slides proved that.
