Highlands Ranch Photo Club Meeting
August 14, 2007

DeDe welcomed everyone to the August meeting. Meetings are held at the Highlands Ranch Library the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

A field trip has been scheduled for September 29 to Victor, Colorado, for a gold mine tour and fall color. DeDe has been on this tour of a working gold mine before and highly recommends the tour. The tour starts at 10:00 and takes about half a day. There is no fee, but bring a bag lunch. Car pools will leave Highlands Ranch at around 7:00 a.m.

In addition to the mine tour, it should also be a good time of year to see aspens in fall color. The town of Victor is also interesting and has a nice old Victorian hotel called the Victor Hotel in case anyone is interested in staying for the weekend.

Contact DeDe if you would like to be part of the field trip and tour.

DeDe also mentioned a photo contest for amateur photographers sponsored by National Geographic. See more details at the Where's Your Nature Valley photo contest page.
